SUBJECT: Stanley L. Miller Memorial Tribute

Professor Emeritus Stanley L. Miller, who was one of the founding
chemists of UCSD, passed away May 20th, following a long illness. Called
"the father of origin of life chemistry," he captivated the public's
imagination with his famous laboratory experiments demonstrating how the
simple organic compounds necessary for the origin of life could have
been synthesized on primitive Earth. He was 77.

A memorial tribute for Stanley Miller has been scheduled for:
